Pam Briscoe. I bet you know Pam. I bet you’ve heard of her Little Blessings Preschool located in New Cumberland. Or maybe you remember her as your Cub Scout Mom from back in the day. For almost 30 years, Pam Briscoe has been a steady, loving presence in the lives of countless little ones. Creating a place where children feel safe, seen, and celebrated. As the heart behind Little Blessings Preschool, she has turned ordinary days into meaningful moments and classrooms into second homes. Her leadership and dedication set a high standard for early education.
A hometown icon, Pam is a lifelong resident of Hancock County. She and her husband reside in New Cumberland. This small community is where they raised their two children. Pam says that it’s her family, and taking care of her aging Mom, that drives her to get up and face each new day. She is fortunate to have her Grandchildren close by. They keep her ‘young’. Like any devoted Grandparent, Pam says those Grandkids are her whole heart.
Pam is a 1977 graduate of Oak Glen High School. She then went on to graduate from the Ohio Valley Business College. Pam herself will tell you, she loves to talk to people! She does not know a stranger and is not shy about introducing herself. If you don’t know Pam yet, chances are, stay in the area long enough, you will. She has always worked with children. From being a Sunday school teacher, to a 4-H leader, to Cub Scout Mom, to serving on several community boards and committees. She volunteers, and she leads with heart and purpose. Her commitment to excellence and her passion for early childhood education make her a truly special gem.
Walk into the Little Blessings Preschool and you immediately feel it – the warmth, the laughter, and the sense that something special is happening here. From the hand painted murals on the walls, to the children’s precious artwork, this special place draws you in. At the center of it all is Pam. A beloved preschool owner and teacher whose passion for children and dedication to families has left a lasting imprint on an entire community. Located inside of the New Cumberland Christian Church, Little Blessings Preschool has been nurturing young hearts and minds for nearly thirty wonderful years. Since opening in 1997, they’ve provided a Christian-based early education with a strong emphasis on academics, values, and joyful learning. Pam says she likes to keep the class sizes small, so that the students get more individualized attention. An average class size is thirty-five children. Fun fact: If you take the average number of students times her years of teaching, Pam and her team have watched over 1,000 children graduate from their preschool.
