Chase Harding. Hold on . . . Is this the cover of a Car and Driver magazine? Nope. LOL. You’re on the right page. Chase, his slightly modified 2015 Ford Taurus Sho, and the area car club that Chase helped co-found, are in the spotlight for this month’s issue of In FOCUS. Chase is a local guy, making a positive impact in our community.
His ‘day’ job is doing Inside Sales at Energy Piping in New Cumberland, WV. A relatively new company that chose to set up shop right here in Hancock County. They sell pipe, fittings and valves to different businesses such as: power plants, refineries, manufacturing plants, any place really, and even to the average person. Chase has been with Energy Piping for 2 years and continues to learn something new every day. Chase, being the humble guy he is, says that there will always be someone more talented. But he’s built his success on a foundation of hard work, perseverance, and continuous improvement. His drive to excel and deliver exceptional results defines who he is as a professional.
He lives in New Cumberland with the love of his life, Jessica – and their two kids – Madison and Logan. Chase will tell you that his family is the reason he wakes up each morning with a purpose. The fact that they believe in everything he does, motivates him every day, to strive to be a better version of himself than the day before. His motto – “Focus on the small steps and surround yourself with a good support system.” He practices gratitude each day and tries to limit negative input. He visualizes a better future, and actively seeks out ways to make a meaningful impact.
Chase is the co-founder and President of the Revolution Car Club. His friend ZaK Scopel is the other founder. They started the club in 2024, both driven by the vision of creating a local organization for the average person. The core concept revolved around building something worthy of pride, developing a trustworthy platform, and ultimately transferring it to the next generation. As members of Revolution CC, they are deeply rooted in the Hancock and Brooke county communities. Everyday people – brought together by the love and passion for anything with a motor.
Revolution Car Club, or Rev CC for short, has made a significant impact in Hancock County. The club has worked hard at transforming the local car culture and fostering a sense of unity within the community. Their mission has always been to bring people together through a shared passion for cars. They’ve also used the car shows as a way to give back to the community. They’ve worked hand in hand with the Brooke Hancock Resource Center, the Tomlinson Run State Park Foundation, Change Inc., and other local organizations to support their car shows and charitable events. They are proud to see their vision come to life. Chase states that he is sincerely grateful for his dedicated team – Zak, Jay, Conner, Jessica, Ein, James and Piper. Their commitment, effort, and enthusiasm have been instrumental in every success that the Rev CC has achieved thus far. Together, they have accomplished many of their initial goals and set a strong foundation for the future. What began as a small car club has grown into an organization that is making a meaningful difference in our community. It’s only the beginning, as they look forward to continuing to build, grow, and inspire positive influences in the years to come.
Chase didn’t start this car club for recognition. He started it because he cares. About people. About connections. About building something that helps this community come together. He’s just a regular guy who loves cars and wanted a space where people could show up, hang out, and feel welcome. Bringing cars to the community for all to enjoy. Not every leader stands on a grand stage. Some lead from a gravel parking lot at 6 p.m., leaning on a hood, telling stories, bringing people together. Sometimes it starts with one ordinary guy who loves cars and believes people are better together. (By the way, if you’re wondering, Chase’s all-time favorite car would be the rare 2000 Cobra R) Building connections, creating traditions, forming stronger bonds in the community.
A humble man doing meaningful work – and we, the community, are better for it. One car show, at a time. A simple idea, a shared passion, and the belief that strangers can turn into a community. Thank you Chase, and the Revolution Car Club for having the heart and the inspiration, and the willingness to begin this club. This is how change happens. This is how strong communities continue to grow.
